Why did you decide to dedicate yourself to science / R&D?
I am passionate about both science and business, I trained as a pharmacist, started my career in strategic consulting, and then shifted to commercial operations in pharma industry. It has been now almost 10 years I dedicate myself to licensing and continue to enjoy this function at the edge between innovative science and business, because I am fueled by its complete transversal vision on all the value chain of our industry.
I am enthusiast to complement internal efforts to build a leading pipeline in medical dermatology.
What makes you proud about your daily work at Almirall?
Although at Almirall researchers are advancing promising science every day, ground breaking innovations in drug discovery and development also happen across the world. In that context, licensing play a critical role to fuel-in transformative therapies and I am enthusiast to complement internal efforts to build a leading pipeline in Medical Dermatology.
What is your greatest motivation to carry out research in your day-to-day?
Identifying and progressing into Almirall pipeline breakthrough therapies that have the potential to raise the bar over currently available medicines carry a lot of meaning in my daily life, as those programs may lead to new advanced treatment options alleviating the life of patients suffering from debilitating dermatology diseases.
